S Soto St. Los Angeles, CA9. This place was great and took good care of me. Dr. Allen was pleasant and he is a good old- fashioned doctor. He took care of my immediate needs and sent me to his other clinic the next day to get an ultrasound on my leg to make sure that I did not have a blood clot. Dr. Allen is very easy to talk to and listens to the patient. The lady (Katrina, I think) at the front desk was very sweet and answered all of my questions. Overall I do recommend this place for urgent care. I do suggest calling ahead to make sure the doctor is available. There was a lady in the waiting room that said she had to wait 2 hours for the doc to arrive. Dawn Of JusticeDawn Of The Planet Of The ApesI waited less then an hour so I was happy. The WORST experience I've had at a clinic. I will start off with the most important part of my visit: the doctor exam with Dr. Adly ISSA. Adly Issa failed to examine my wound or tend to my concerns during the exam. My pet guinea pig had bit my hand with his 1cm long teeth. I paid my insurance copay at the front desk for the service of a medical exam. After the assistant briefed the doctor on my situation in another room, Adly Issa entered my exam room. Without looking at the wound or discussing my wound WHATSOEVER, he immediately told me to go to my primary family doctor for a tetanus shot because my insurance will not cover the shot at his clinic AND HE TURNED TO WALK OUT. Literally, I just paid money to be told to leave. He didn't even hassle himself to glance at my hand. He did not discuss the cost of the tetanus shot, nor asked if I actually wanted to pay & take the shot here at the clinic. He showed no care to treat me. I called out to him, "But doctor, you can't do anything for my hand? Do I have to worry about infections?" He repeated himself, "Go to your family doctor. He will give you shot for free. You pay if you take shot here. Go buy neosporin & put a bandaid on it." Then, he exited the room. The meeting with Adly Issa in the exam room took a total of 3. But of course, my wait outside at the reception area took longer: an hour, which is not long compared to the wait at an ER.). From the other room, he yelled at the assistant to clean and wrap up my wound, which was a simple rinse with peroxide, then covered with neosporin and a cheap regular bandaid. The clinic is located in the front corner of a small hospital. Every chair is dirty & stained from possibly bodily fluids. During my entire visit, it was quiet & empty with only 1 person in queue before me. My wait at the reception area was 1 hour. It's a SMALL clinic with only 2 people at work: the doctor & the assistant. The assistant is a bearded tattooed hipster and he was pleasantly helpful. I didn't catch his name. He noticed Dr Adly Issa frustrated & confused me, and he offered explanations of my medical group & insurance coverage. The assistant even admitted the clinic & the doctor isn't concern for their patients. In fact, prior to the doctor entering my exam room while the assistant briefed him in another room, I overheard the doctor refusing to come to my exam room because he was on hold with "an important phone call". The assistant offered to listen to the call on hold, so the doctor can speak to me. The doctor reluctantly came to my exam room. Returning to this phone call was the reason Dr Adly Issa was so eager to rush me to leave. DO NOT GET MEDICAL SERVICE AT THIS CLINIC! At least not with Adly Issa. Dr Adly Issa wasted my time & money. He displayed zero regards for my medical need & did not even provide basic service. Never mind it was true their doctor is never here and they made me go to their lingo location otherwise I was supposed to wait for the doctor until 3 PM and it's now 1. PM so that would be about three hour wait time I don't think so anyways I am going to go to them and what location according to the lady she says that they will take me on the spot there's doctors there already hopefully cross my fingers but on a sidenote I don't think I ever want to come here again yeah just because again nobody really takes treatment account anywhere Any. Who beware you're in for a scare just stay away from this place and I gave it to because the girl was nice to tell me just to location so I wouldn't have to wait three hours plus and when I came in on Friday she did give me medicine so that's good OK bye- bye. After countless calls and 3 trips back to the location, I have been waiting almost 2 months for my medical records. Apparently no one knows the "protocol" so I have been bounced around from person to person, being told different info every time. Just now, I spoke with Yvonne who is now telling me I will have to pay $2. I have ever heard of this fee. After the experience I've already had (which is most likely far from over if I ever want my records), I would say this is absolutely the most unorganized medical facility I have ever had the displeasure of having to visit. We were referred here from another facility to suture a wound. I would like to start by saying that the front office staff/assistant was friendly, personable, and caring. However, my review is about Dr. Eugene Allen. His demeanor towards us (his patients/clients) and his medical assistant (his employee) was rude, disrespectful, and condescending. He was extremely disrespectful in making comments such as: " You might only know how to bake, but you need people like me (points to head), who has gone to school forever to know what to do." We might naturally have "respect" for doctors for the most part, but when they put someone down, respect is completely lost. In addition, he treated his assistant in an unprofessional manner. He spoke to her slowly and loudly as if she was deaf or dumb, which neither was the case. When she stepped out of the room, he told us to be careful when she gave the injection because, "she was a rookie." I felt the need to step in and stand up for both my folks and the assistant and told Dr. Allen, "It's ok that is a 'rookie,' everyone starts from the bottom, including yourself." If an employee is new, it is your job to create a teaching environment, NOT to speak about them behind their back to your patients. To top things off, his prescription was incomplete, not providing specific details about the dosage. When the pharmacy attempted to get a hold of Dr. Allen to get the missing information, they were not able to get a hold of him. This resulted in a delay in having the prescription filled, which is important given that an antibiotic treatment was to start immediately. Don't come here! Not unless you want to be treated as if you are inferior. Horrible. Long wait to see the Doctor. I came here because of an accident I had and they didn't even treat the numerous (VERY VISIBLE) wounds I had all over my body. Referred me to their office in Lynnwood for X- Rays, which is a full hour away. Not going here again and will not recommend it. Legitimately the worst place to get care. You arrive and they tell you it's a 4. Then it ends up taking 4. When he ended up seeing me, he wrote a quick prescription almost without any physical examination, and write it so illegibly that the pharmacist could not understand what he had written. I am a medical student who has spent thousands of hours working with numerous doctors. The doctor at this clinic should have his license revoked. Had to wait a while but Dr. Allen is awesome so it was worth the wait for sure. Had to pay more on my copay than any other place but you can't put a price on a good doctor so again, it was worth it. I wish zero stars was an option! Came here w severe stomach pains, filled out the paperwork and waited, and waited, and waited, no one else there so I ask what's taking so long, he tells me he's trying to get insurance authorization. Then the guy behind the desk tells me my deductible is 1. I just got off the phone w insurance company and they told me no it should be only 4. So then I ask the guy where is the doctor? He tells me as soon. I pay he will have him come from his other office in Gardena!! Over an hour away with traffic, WTF?? Dont waste your time here. When I arrived at Dusk to Dawn at 3: 3. The receptionist (who was hiding in the corner of the office with all of the lights off so I had to tap on the glass to get her attention that I was there) informed me that Mr. Allen (I refuse to call him "doctor" because he doesn't deserve the title) was out to lunch just around the corner. Huh? Have you ever heard of a doctor being out to lunch? Because I've been to a lot of Urgent Cares, at a lot of different times of day, and I have never heard of a doctor being out to lunch, or out to anything for that matter. So I think, alright, that's weird, but I'll wait til he gets back. I waited THREE HOURS in those dirty, stained chairs of that pitiful waiting room. Mr. Allen never showed up. The receptionist claimed she had called him repeatedly and that this was not normal, but from reading the other reviews it looks like that was a boldface lie. This place is disgraceful, and an absolute joke. Dr. Allen, for the sake of everyone who has medi- cal and can't afford go to a real Urgent Care, I hope you are disbarred and someone competent takes over. Waited for the doctor to "drive over here " for over three hours. Thought urgent care was supposed to already have doctors inside the facility. Not thrilled about the lengthy wait, but the doctor was excellent. Very personable, fixed me up in just a few minutes. I would probably recommend a different location, as the doctor mentioned that mostly billing is done at this site.
